Job summary

VALD is seeking a Financial Controller to own day-to-day finance for a fast-growing, multi-entity SAAS business based in Brisbane. Lead, mentor and empower the finance team to deliver accurate numbers on time for the executive team.

The role demands a technically strong CA/CPA with audit background, experience in consolidation, multi-currency accounting and knowledge of NetSuite. Prior exposure to acquisitions and international tax is highly regarded.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA with audit background and several years in a controller/senior finance role.
• Experience in technology or subscription businesses is highly regarded.
• Hands-on NetSuite experience; M&A exposure desirable.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end close, consolidation and financial reporting across multiple entities.
• Oversee intercompany reconciliations, revenue recognition for bundled hardware and subscriptions.
• Manage tax compliance, treasury, and controls; drive process improvements.
