Job summary

Department of Transport and Main Roads in Central Queensland is seeking a Project Engagement Advisor based in Mackay or Rockhampton. You will provide strategic communication and stakeholder engagement advice, coordinate consultation activities and manage media inquiries to support major road and transport infrastructure projects.

Working with project managers and senior leaders, you will build strong relationships with communities and government representatives, ensuring informed decision-making

Qualifications

Experience in stakeholder engagement and communications.
Ability to develop engagement strategies for infrastructure projects.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Ability to coordinate community consultation.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic communication and stakeholder engagement advice to project teams and leadership.
Develop and deliver communication and engagement strategies for infrastructure projects.
Coordinate community consultation activities, events and stakeholder initiatives.
Prepare project communications, media responses and briefing notes.
Build relationships with communities, local government and industry stakeholders.
Identify and manage emerging issues affecting delivery and reputation.
Support continuous improvement within the team.
