Job summary

Queensland Government in Mackay Regional is seeking a Project Engagement Advisor to support delivery of major road and transport infrastructure across Central Queensland. Based in Mackay or Rockhampton, you will work with project teams to inform, engage and support communities and decision-makers throughout project delivery.

  • Support a customer-focused culture by sharing knowledge and contributing to continuous improvement.

Based in Mackay or Rockhampton, you'll play an important role in supporting the delivery of major road and transport infrastructure projects that improve safety, connectivity and liveability for Queensland communities.

About the role:

As a Project Engagement Advisor, you'll work alongside project managers, engineers and senior leaders to deliver strategic communication and stakeholder engagement activities across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects. You'll help ensure communities, stakeholders and decision-makers are informed, engaged and supported throughout project delivery.

Key responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic communication and stakeholder engagement advice to project teams and leadership.
  • Develop and deliver communication and engagement strategies for infrastructure projects.
  • Coordinate community consultation activities, events, road openings and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
