Job summary

Queensland Government, Central Queensland Region, is seeking a Principal Advisor (Program) based in Mackay to support planning, monitoring and delivery of major transport infrastructure investments. You will provide strategic advice to help ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Working with project and program managers, you will monitor performance, conduct reviews, and engage stakeholders to drive continuous improvement across the region's transport portfolio.

Qualifications

• This role requires experience in program, project or business management.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Ability to synthesise information and communicate insights for decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Monitor program and project performance, including delivery outcomes and budgets.
• Provide high-level advice to senior leaders on performance and opportunities.
• Coordinate project reviews to assess compliance with PM requirements.
• Support development and implementation of business improvements.
• Prepare reports, briefings and correspondence for the Director.
