Job summary

Thomson Reuters (Professional) Australia Ltd seeks a Direct Tax Subject-Matter Expert to join the ANZ Sales team. You will be the tax expert on strategic and complex sales, partnering with Sales, Solution Consulting, Product, and Customer Success to translate tax knowledge into commercial outcomes.

You will engage with senior tax executives, lead discovery conversations, and help shape account strategies across ANZ.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in corporate/direct tax, tax technology, professional services or enterprise tax solutions.
• Deep understanding of challenges faced by large corporate tax functions and evolving technology requirements.
• Strong commercial awareness and experience supporting or influencing complex enterprise sales opportunities.
• Confidence engaging with senior tax and finance executives and translating technical tax issues into business outcomes.
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to operate as a subject‑matter expert and commercially focused partner to Sales.
• Strong collaboration across Sales, Solution Consulting, Product, Professional Services and Customer Success.

Responsibilities

• Provide deep Direct Tax subject-matter expertise throughout strategic and complex sales opportunities across ANZ.
• Partner with Sales to identify, develop and progress new business and expansion opportunities across the Direct Tax portfolio.
• Engage with Heads of Tax, Tax Directors, CFO organisations and other senior stakeholders to understand their tax strategy and operating model.
• Lead strategic discovery conversations and translate customer requirements into compelling solutions and value propositions.
• Support development of account strategies, opportunity plans and executive-level customer engagement for priority opportunities.
• Articulate business value of Direct Tax solutions and opportunities to improve efficiency, governance and tax operating models.
• Provide specialist support for customer presentations, workshops, RFPs and complex solution discussions.
• Partner with Solution Consultants to ensure demos address tax and business requirements.
• Maintain knowledge of corporate tax trends, regulatory developments and tax technology across ANZ.
• Act as trusted advisor to Sales, providing coaching and enablement for Direct Tax capabilities.
• Represent Thomson Reuters at customer events and thought-leadership activities.
• Capture insights to influence go-to-market and product priorities.
• Build relationships across tax ecosystem including customers and partners.
