Job summary

Thomson Reuters is seeking a Solution Consultant - Direct Tax to provide deep tax and solution expertise throughout pre-sales. You will partner with the Corporate Sales team to translate business needs into compelling demonstrations across Australia and New Zealand.

You will engage with senior tax and technology stakeholders, craft tailored solution designs, and support the full sales lifecycle from discovery to concept proof.

Qualifications

• Experience within corporate/direct tax, tax technology, accounting, professional services or enterprise software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Sales to support new business and expansion opportunities across the Thomson Reuters Direct Tax portfolio.
• Lead discovery with customers and prospects to understand their current tax processes, technology environment, challenges and desired outcomes.
• Deliver high-quality, tailored product demonstrations aligned to customer requirements and use cases.
• Act as a trusted subject matter expert in customer meetings, workshops, presentations and competitive sales situations.
• Translate complex tax and business requirements into appropriate solution recommendations and solution designs.
• Support RFPs, RFIs, proof-of-concepts and other technical or solution-related elements of the sales process.
• Work closely with Sales to develop compelling value propositions and articulate the business benefits of Thomson Reuters solutions.
• Maintain strong knowledge of developments across corporate/direct tax, tax technology and the broader regulatory environment.
• Partner with Product, Professional Services and Customer Success to ensure effective transition from pre-sales through implementation and ongoing customer adoption.
• Provide product and solution enablement to the ANZ Corporate Sales organisation, helping strengthen capability and confidence across the Direct Tax portfolio.
• Represent Thomson Reuters through customer workshops, webinars, events and other thought-leadership activities where appropriate.
• Capture customer and market feedback and work with internal stakeholders to help inform product and go-to-market priorities.

Education

Accounting, Tax, Finance, Business, Technology or related discipline

CA/CPA or equivalent professional qualifications

Strong presentation and communication skills

Strong commercial awareness

Ability to translate requirements to measurable business outcomes

Experience with customers in consulting, pre-sales, tax, product or tech

Ability to work across Sales, Product, Professional Services and Customer Success
