Job summary

Simplot seeks an experienced Demand Planner in Mentone, Australia, for a permanent full-time role reporting to the Senior Manager Demand Planning - APAC. You will own the end-to-end forecasting process and collaborate with commercial and supply chain teams to drive better outcomes.

You will develop insight-led demand plans, translating market dynamics, promotional activity and customer inputs into an accurate, aligned view.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Demand Planning, Forecasting, Supply Chain Planning or a related discipline.
• Strong forecasting and demand analytics capability, including experience using statistical forecasting methodologies.
• Experience with demand planning systems such as SAP IBP, Blue Yonder, Blueshift, Logility or similar planning platforms.
• The ability to interpret data, identify trends and translate insights into practical recommendations.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and work effectively across commercial and operational teams.
• Advanced Excel and analytical skills, coupled with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts, ensuring plans are aligned to business objectives and changing market dynamics.
• Partner closely with Sales, Supply Planning, Customer Experience and Finance teams to build a single, aligned view of demand.
• Translate promotional activity, commercial initiatives and customer insights into actionable demand plans.
• Monitor forecast performance, identify risks and opportunities, and use data-driven insights to improve forecast accuracy and reduce bias.
• Provide recommendations and scenario analysis to support business planning and decision-making.
• Leverage forecasting systems and planning tools to drive forecasting excellence and improve planning outcomes.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across planning processes, systems and ways of working.
