Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Contracts & Commercial Manager – Projects to provide contractual and commercial leadership across a multi-discipline Subsea project. You will manage contractual and financial delivery per the execution plan and report to the Regional Contracts Director.

The role requires leading by influence within a matrix organization, optimizing profitability, and ensuring compliance with contract requirements across large-scale initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or relevant legal, commercial, energy related degree
• Substantial contract management experience in energy, resources or capital construction environments
• Proven track record in improving project profitability, cash flow and control of commercial risk
• Possess full understanding and working knowledge of the key legal risk areas and obligations for major projects
• Commercially, financially and contractually aware with good communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
• Proven capability of working in a matrix environment and of leading by influence
• Willing to work at a detailed level

Responsibilities

• All Commercial & Contractual aspects of large-scale, complex projects and act as the primary authority for Contractual matters
• Management of all contractual related aspects, including commercial arrangements, variations, amendments, adherence and reporting
• Establish and maintain compliance with the specific Contract requirements
• Provide leadership, advice, and guidance to senior management on specific contractual matters
• Ensure commercial risks are identified and managed across the scopes of work by controlling the overall project profile and opportunity review
• Oversee contractual engagement for key subcontracts and major purchases to ensure risks are mitigated and opportunities managed
• Drive the commercial performance of awarded projects
