Job summary

Clevertronics is seeking a commercially driven Business Development Manager – Major Projects in Sydney to identify and secure new project opportunities and strengthen key industry relationships. You will engage with customers and stakeholders through the project lifecycle, offering practical technical and commercial guidance on emergency lighting solutions.

Qualifications

• At least five years’ experience in business development, sales or a similar role within the electrical, wholesale, construction or another technical industry.
• Electrical industry experience is preferred but not essential.
• Ability to meet or exceed sales targets.

Responsibilities

• Identify and secure new business opportunities across major construction and upgrade projects.
• Build and maintain relationships with contractors, consultants, developers, wholesalers and key decision-makers.
• Develop and deliver strategic business development plans to achieve revenue and growth targets.
• Prepare and present sales presentations, proposals and product solutions.
• Provide technical and commercial advice to help customers select Clevertronics products and systems.
• Project manage customer opportunities and act as the primary contact throughout the project lifecycle.
• Negotiate contracts and commercial agreements in line with company objectives.
• Collaborate with sales, commissioning and other teams to support project delivery and documented outcomes.
• Maintain knowledge of competitors, market conditions, and installation/maintenance requirements.
• Provide regular reporting on pipeline activity, opportunities and results.
• Represent Clevertronics at client meetings and industry events, including occasional out-of-hours events.
