Job summary

Infrastructure NSW is seeking an Associate Director, Industry Engagement in Sydney for a temporary appointment up to January 2027. The role leads strategic industry engagement initiatives and strengthens the agency’s relationships with industry stakeholders.

You will work with senior decision-makers to shape policy and investment directions, guide government relations and issues management, and deliver high-impact engagement programs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

You will bring relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience.
Experience in stakeholder engagement and communication strategies in fast-paced environments.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a high-performing industry engagement team.
Lead development and delivery of industry engagement strategies, programs and consultation activities.
Provide trusted advice to senior leaders on stakeholder sentiment, emerging issues and industry trends to inform decision-making and policy outcomes.
Build and maintain strong relationships with industry, government and infrastructure partners to strengthen collaboration and advance shared objectives.
Lead stakeholder engagement and issues management activities, including responses to complex, sensitive and high-profile matters, and prepare high-quality briefings for executives, ministers and government stakeholders.
