Job summary

Infrastructure NSW is seeking an Associate Director, Industry Engagement in Sydney for a temporary appointment up to January 2027. The role leads strategic industry engagement initiatives and strengthens the agency’s relationships with industry stakeholders.

You will work with senior decision-makers to shape policy and investment directions, guide government relations and issues management, and deliver high-impact engagement programs in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience in stakeholder engagement and communication strategies in fast-paced environments.

About

The Associate Director Industry Engagement provides expert strategic advice and leads the planning and delivery of industry engagement initiatives that strengthen Infrastructure NSW’s (INSW) relationships with industry stakeholders. The role uses targeted communications, consultation and collaboration to support INSW’s objectives and engagement with industry.

About You

You will bring relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience, along with demonstrated expertise in developing and delivering stakeholder engagement and communication strategies that achieve results in complex and fast-paced environments. You are a skilled communicator and relationship builder, with the ability to lead change, influence diverse stakeholders and navigate sensitive, confidential and potentially contentious issues with sound judgement. A strong understanding of government processes and operating environments will support your success in this role.
