Job summary

Westernport Water seeks a dedicated Resources, Logistics & Planning Officer to support the NOM team with stores, planning and logistics. The role requires strong organization, attention to detail and a hands-on approach to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment 24/7.

You will manage end-to-end purchasing, inventory control and tool management, with a focus on safety, compliance and continuous improvement within a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in stores, warehousing, logistics and procurement within utilities or similar environment.
• Experience handling dangerous goods, chemicals and hazardous substances.
• Proven purchasing, stock control and receiving capabilities.
• Experience supporting planned and reactive maintenance activities.
• Knowledge of WHS, risk management and safe warehouse practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide stores, logistics and planning support across the NOM Department for materials and equipment.
• Manage purchasing, receipt, storage, control, distribution and tracking of materials and PPE.
• Coordinate dispatch and return of tools and equipment with accurate records.
• Coordinate Preventative Maintenance Program for stores and logistics.
• Conduct annual stocktakes and maintain inventory records for budgeting and cost controls.
• Maintain stores and facilities to a safe, organized standard and ensure accessibility.
• Build relationships with customers, employees, managers, contractors and suppliers.
