Job summary

Cornetts Supermarkets in Bundaberg Central IGA is seeking a highly motivated retail leader to take on the Store Manager role, responsible for overall store performance, merchandising, pricing and inventory control to maximise sales and customer satisfaction.

You will lead a large team, manage rostering, training and development, ensure WH&S and food safety compliance, and drive shrinkage reduction while meeting budget targets.

Qualifications

• Previous management experience
• Ability to lead and manage a large team including rostering
• Experience with maintaining high customer service levels
• Strong inventory management and stock rotation experience
• Knowledge of WH&S and food safety requirements and regulations
• Ability to meet sales targets and manage wage budgets
• Excellent communication across diverse staff and stakeholders
• Proficient with interpreting sales figures and reports

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall store performance, operations, merchandising, pricing and inventory control
• Lead and develop a large team, including rostering and staff training
• Drive customer service excellence and shopper experience
• Manage stock rotation, ordering, returns and shrinkage control
• Ensure WH&S and food safety compliance across the store
• Monitor budgets and wage costs to meet financial targets
• Communicate with suppliers, staff and external partners to coordinate activities
