Forty Winks is seeking an experienced Store Manager for our Bundaberg QLD location. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in driving the success and profitability of our store. As Store Manager, you will be responsible for leading a dynamic team, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and achieving sales targets whilst maintaining the highest standards of store operations. This role offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact on store performance and contribute to the growth of the Forty Winks brand in the local community.

What you'll be doing

Leading and motivating a team of sales associates, providing coaching, training and performance management to ensure exceptional service delivery

Managing daily store operations including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and inventory management

Driving sales performance and achieving store targets through strategic planning and effective team leadership

Creating and maintaining a welcoming store environment that reflects Forty Winks' brand standards and visual merchandising guidelines

Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers to enhance loyalty and encourage repeat business

Managing stock levels, conducting regular stock takes, and liaising with head office on inventory requirements

Responding to customer enquiries and complaints promptly and professionally to ensure customer satisfaction

Implementing company policies and procedures whilst ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and health and safety requirements

Analysing sales data and reporting on store performance to identify opportunities for improvement

Recruiting, onboarding and developing team members to build a high-performing store workforce

What we're looking for

Proven experience in a retail management role, preferably in the furniture, bedding or home furnishings sector

Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team

Excellent sales acumen with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets

Outstanding customer service orientation with the ability to build lasting customer relationships

Strong organisational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

Proficiency in retail management systems and point-of-sale technology

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Knowledge of visual merchandising and retail best practices

Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and public holidays as required

High level of integrity, reliability and professional conduct

Preferably, experience with inventory management systems and data analysis
