Sydney Tools Pty Ltd in Dubbo is seeking a hands-on Store Manager to lead our team, drive sales and ensure outstanding customer service. You will own daily operations, rostering, stock and merchandising while guiding staff to hit targets and deliver a memorable shopping experience.

• Build local customer relationships with traders and the community to grow the store's customer base.
• Maintain high standards of presentation, stock availability, workplace safety and operational standards.
• Lead from the front by staying hands-on on the shop floor and setting the example.

Your Role

As Store Manager, you'll be responsible for leading the Dubbo store across sales, people, customer experience and daily operations.

You’ll set the standard for performance, create a positive and accountable team culture, and ensure the store consistently delivers strong commercial results and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive Sales & Results: Take ownership of sales targets, KPIs and store performance, identifying opportunities to grow revenue and improve results.
• Lead & Develop Your Team: Coach, mentor and motivate your team, setting clear expectations and building a culture focused on performance, accountability and teamwork.
• Deliver Excellent Customer Service: Ensure customers receive knowledgeable, professional and practical advice, building lasting relationships and repeat business.
• Manage Store Operations: Oversee rostering, staffing, stock control, merchandising and daily operational requirements to keep the store running efficiently.
• Monitor Performance: Review sales results and team KPIs, identify areas for improvement and implement practical strategies to achieve business objectives.
• Build Local Customer Relationships: Strengthen relationships with local customers and trade professionals while identifying opportunities to grow the store's customer base.
• Maintain High Standards: Ensure the store maintains strong presentation, stock availability, workplace safety and operational standards.
• Lead from the Front: Stay hands-on, support your team on the sales floor and set the example through your own approach to sales and customer service.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a proven retail leader with the commercial mindset, people skills and drive to deliver results.

Ideally, you'll bring:

• Previous experience as a Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager or in a comparable retail leadership role
• A demonstrated ability to lead, coach and develop a sales team
• A strong track record of achieving sales targets and KPIs
• Commercial awareness and the ability to identify opportunities to improve business performance
• Confidence managing performance, setting expectations and holding team members accountable
• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills
• A hands-on approach to leadership and day-to-day store operations
• The ability to build customer relationships and deliver a consistently high standard of service
• Experience in tools, trade, hardware, automotive, electrical or a similar retail environment (advantageous, but not essential)
