Job summary

Outback Stores is seeking passionate single and management couples to join our remote locations across Australia. You will oversee store operations, lead in-store teams, and foster strong community ties while upholding health, safety and quality standards.

This role offers a unique opportunity to live and work in some of Australia's most isolated communities, with generous leave, accommodation, and relocation support. Previous supermarket leadership experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in retail or FMCG within a supermarket environment.
• Leadership experience mentoring and training diverse teams.
• Experience rostering, budgeting, inventory and expense controls.
• Cultural awareness and ability to work across cultures.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Proficient computer skills and ability to learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all store operations including sales, stock, merchandising and staff supervision.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to in-store teams.
• Ensure compliance with Food Safety Standards, WHS and policies.
• Maintain excellent store presentation and customer service.
• Support with staff training initiatives.

You will play a vital role in supporting the health and wellbeing of the local community while upholding the store's commercial performance and reputation.

• Oversee all aspects of store operations, including sales, stock control, merchandising, and staff supervision
