Job summary

The Langham Gold Coast is seeking a Stewarding Supervisor to coordinate and supervise all activities related to cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen and restaurant supplies. You will ensure a superior standard for flatware, tableware and kitchen equipment in support of Culinary and Banquets teams.

You’ll assist in supervising the stewarding team, onboard and track training, and work with chefs to ensure timely setups.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising stewarding or related teams.
• Proven leadership in a fast-paced hotel environment.
• Strong eye for detail in cleanliness and presentation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Eligibility to work in Australia (no sponsorship).
• Familiar with HACCP or hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

As Stewarding Supervisor, you would be responsible for coordinating and supervising all activities that are related with our cleanliness and hygiene of all kitchen and restaurant supplies. The Stewarding Supervisor ensures a superior standard for all flatware, tableware and kitchen equipment in support of our Culinary and Banquets teams.

What You’ll Do

• Assist in supervising the stewarding team in various kitchen areas, championing overall cleanliness, sanitation and compliance with hotel and local health regulations including HACCP
• Work closely with chefs to ensure all set ups are prepared in time and to the required set up,
• Onboard and track training progress of stewarding colleagues according to the service standards required.
• Perform tasks in a safe and efficient manner to ensure a high standard of cleanliness, productivity and service.
• Work collaboratively within a friendly, fast paced, professional environment.

What You’ll Bring

• Experience in a similar role, or a previous role committed to hygiene and cleanliness,
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience,
• Technical ability, and a wiliness and capacity to adapt to new systems,
• Proven ability to work in a high pressure and fast-paced environment
• An eye for detail and personal presentation
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
