Job summary

The Langham Hospitality Group is seeking a passionate Cook for The Langham, Gold Coast. You will join a world-class kitchen, creating high-quality dishes and delivering exceptional guest experiences in a five-star setting.

You will work with a talented team, maintain rigorous standards of food safety and presentation, and contribute to the dining experience that defines Langham’s reputation for excellence in hospitality.

Qualifications

• Sound knowledge of current industry trends.
• Passion for service excellence in hospitality.
• Ability to work in a high pressure, fast-paced kitchen.
• Creative with a sharp eye for detail and presentation.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience in a commercial kitchen; hospitality education in progress.

Key Responsibilities

Our Cook will be driven to work alongside highly skilled chefs, refining your technique as well as contributing to a world-class guest experience.

• Prepare, cook and present high quality a la carte dishes to five-star standards
• Work collaboratively within a friendly, fast paced, professional kitchen environment
• Support senior Chefs in daily kitchen operations and service delivery
• Maintain consistency, presentation and flavour across all dishes
• Adhere to strict food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards

About You

• Sound knowledge of the latest trends in the Industry
• Passion for service excellence and providing superior hospitality experience
• Proven ability to work in a high pressure and fast-paced environment
• Creative with an eye for detail and a flair for presentation
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen
• Undertaking technical education in hospitality or culinary school
