Job summary

SA Health, Southern Adelaide Local Health Network, Flinders Medical Centre, is seeking a Sterilisation Services Manager to lead a high‑performing team responsible for reprocessing standards and safe patient care. This full‑time, ongoing role involves daily operations and strategic quality improvements within a busy tertiary hospital setting.

You will report to the Nurse Manager and drive staffing, rostering, and resource optimization while ensuring compliance with relevant standards and reliable

Qualifications

• Significant experience in sterilisation practices.
• Demonstrated knowledge of AS/NZS5369:2023 and NSQHS requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to prioritise workload and meet timelines.
• Experience in rostering and staff development.

Responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day leadership for the Sterilisation Services team.
• Coordinate staffing, recruitment, induction and rostering activities.
• Develop rosters and staffing plans for the unit.
• Ensure compliance with AS/NZS5369:2023 and NSQHS standards.
