Job summary

seek.com.au is seeking an experienced Sterilising Team Leader to oversee daily operations at a modern facility in northern Melbourne. You will lead technicians responsible for safe reprocessing of reusable medical devices with emphasis on quality and AS 5369 compliance.

The role requires a Certificate III/IV in Sterilisation Services, strong instrument knowledge and the ability to coordinate workloads while maintaining safety and quality across shifts.

Qualifications

• Current experience as a Sterilising Team Leader is essential.
• Extensive sterilising services experience with exposure to surgical instruments.
• Certificate III or IV in Sterilisation Services.
• Strong knowledge of sterilisation and disinfection processes and guidelines.
• Ability to coordinate workloads and lead technicians.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating daily workloads to ensure safe, efficient and timely service delivery.
• Providing leadership and technical support to technicians across the reprocessing cycle.
• Applying surgical instrument knowledge to identify, inspect and process.
• Maintaining compliance with AS 5369, quality procedures and infection prevention requirements.
• Monitoring team performance and preparing reports.
• Participating in quality audits and improving processes.
• Promoting safe work practices and effective communication across shifts.
• Working collaboratively within a 24/7 operation.
