Job summary

Lancefield Primary School in the Macedon Ranges invites applications for classroom teachers Roles Range 2 and Range 1. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong curriculum knowledge and the ability to teach literacy and numeracy, with capacity to respond to diverse student needs.

Roles focus on high quality instruction, use of student data to inform teaching, and collaboration with families and the wider school community to support wellbeing and engagement.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the Victorian curriculum and ability to teach literacy and numeracy.
• Experience planning high impact teaching strategies.
• Ability to monitor, assess and use data to inform practice and provide feedback.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with students, parents and staff.
• Ability to supervise and mentor student teachers.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students.
• Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum programs.
• Undertake other teaching-related and organisational duties as determined by the School Principal.
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Undertake other non-teaching supervisory duties.
