The role requires planning, preparation and delivery of programs to achieve student outcomes, plus ongoing professional learning and collaboration with families and the broader school community to support wellbeing and achievement.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to teach literacy and numeracy.
• Plan and implement high impact teaching strategies, guided by how students learn, and evaluate impact on growth.
• Monitor and assess student learning; use data to inform teaching and provide feedback to students and parents.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; establish collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues and the broader school community.
• Reflect upon practice and engage in professional learning to continually improve teaching quality.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups of students and individuals.
• Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of a curriculum area or program.
• Undertaking other classroom teaching duties as directed by the Principal.
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Undertaking other non-teaching supervisory duties.
