Job summary

Tallangatta Primary School is seeking Range 2 classroom teachers to contribute to improving student outcomes in a small rural setting, with a strong focus on high-quality instruction and continuous professional learning.

The role emphasises planning for diverse learners, mentoring staff, and using student data to drive improvements aligned with the Victorian Curriculum. Applicants should be registered with VIT and be prepared to engage with the school community.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to plan and implement high quality instruction aligned with the Victorian Curriculum.
• Ability to respond to diverse student learning needs and barriers to learning.
• Proven capacity to monitor learning progress and provide timely feedback to students and families.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with students, families and staff.
• Commitment to ongoing professional learning and reflective practice.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individual students.
• Contribute to curriculum development, implementation and evaluation.
• Undertake classroom teaching duties and school duties as required by the principal.
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings and school activities.
• Supervise and mentor student teachers and support staff as needed.
