Job summary

Department for Education seeks a Lead, Inclusive Practice (Autism Initiative) to provide statewide strategic leadership for the Autism Inclusion Teacher Initiative and to drive system improvements in inclusive education.

Across Statewide Inclusive Education Services and Inclusive Teaching and Learning, you will offer high‑level advice to senior leaders and empower educators to improve participation, inclusion and outcomes for autistic children and students.

Qualifications

• Essential: A tertiary qualification in education and current full teacher registration.

Responsibilities

• Lead statewide autism inclusion initiatives and advise on policy.
• Support educators to improve participation and outcomes for autistic students.
• Collaborate with SIES and teaching-learning teams on inclusive practice.
• Contribute to service delivery and system-wide capability building.
