Job summary

Queensland Government is seeking a statewide leader to drive initiatives for students with physical disability. The role involves high-level advisory work with schools, regional teams and central staff, plus coaching AVT-PI teachers across Queensland.

You will coordinate statewide communications and resources, including SharePoint spaces, and develop/provide statewide processes and professional learning to advance inclusive education outcomes.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of evidence-based pedagogy and inclusive education practices.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills.
• Experience leading projects and teams with competing priorities; use of assistive technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead statewide strategic initiatives relating to students with physical disability.
• Provide high-level advice to schools, regional teams and central office staff on physical disability education, practices, systems and implementation.
• Coach and mentor teachers statewide in the AVT-PI role.
• Coordinate statewide communication and resource platforms, including SharePoint sites and digital collaboration spaces.
• Develop, implement and monitor statewide processes, resources and professional learning for physical disability.
• Build strong collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support equitable access and inclusive outcomes.
