Job summary

Department for Education, South Australia is seeking a Lead, Inclusive Practice (Autism Initiative) to provide statewide strategic leadership for the Autism Inclusion Teacher Initiative and to strengthen inclusive education across the department.

You will work with Statewide Inclusive Education Services and other teams to advise senior leaders and build system-wide capability, improving participation and outcomes for autistic children and students.

Qualifications

• Essential: A tertiary qualification in education.
• Essential: Current full teacher registration.

Responsibilities

• Provide statewide strategic leadership for the Autism Inclusion Teacher (AIT) Initiative.
• Support educators to improve participation, inclusion and outcomes for autistic students.
• Contribute to broader work of SIES and Inclusive Teaching and Learning through service delivery and project work.
