Job summary

Queensland Government is seeking a qualified professional to lead continuous improvement in services for people with an intellectual disability. The role focuses on applying legislation and departmental policies, monitoring processes, and providing incisive feedback to support staff.

The ideal candidate has at least six years of relevant experience, a Certificate IV in Disability or equivalent, a current First Aid certificate, NDIS screening, and a valid C-class license.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people with an intellectual disability.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and departmental policies.
• Ability to monitor and review service delivery systems.
• Capacity to provide constructive feedback to staff.
• Strong planning and collaboration with teams.

Responsibilities

• Encourage teams to identify and implement strategies for continuous improvement of service delivery for people with an intellectual disability.
• Keep informed about and apply relevant legislative requirements and departmental policies.
• Plan for and implement regular monitoring and review of systems and processes used by support staff.
• Articulate performance standards when assessing direct support staff with feedback aligned to service delivery standards.
• Contribute to support planning for people with a disability receiving services.
