Job summary

Canva’s Mobile Platform team is transitioning to a hybrid stack with React Native and React DOM, enabling a single shared codebase across iOS, Android and web while preserving native performance.

You’ll be the React Native expert, guiding engineers through native integrations, performance tuning, and building tooling to scale the team’s React Native fluency for product-scale outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience with React Native at scale in a product environment.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve performance issues under load.
• Demonstrated technical leadership and ability to shape multiple teams’ approaches.
• Experience influencing organisations with many contributors.

Responsibilities

• Lead React Native initiatives across iOS, Android and web with a shared codebase.
• Diagnose performance bottlenecks and drive optimizations for the mobile app.
• Mentor engineers and elevate React Native fluency across the team.
