Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Staff Platform Engineer based in Australia to lead major platform initiatives, starting with Continuous Delivery, from design reviews through implementation, deployment, and ongoing improvement. This is a fully remote role with a distributed engineering team.

You will own cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, developer environments, and observability, driving architectural decisions and mentoring teams to elevate the platform and enable AI-enabled development workflows.

Qualifications

Extensive hands-on software engineering at Staff Engineer level or equivalent.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional platform initiatives and drive outcomes.
Experience designing and operating production cloud infrastructure, especially on AWS (ECS/Fargate, RDS).
Strong IaC background with Terraform or Terragrunt.
Proven track record delivering reliable CI/CD pipelines and testing infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Lead major platform engineering initiatives, from design reviews to deployment and improvements.
Improve developer productivity via reliable CI, optimized merge workflows, automated deployments, and better local dev environments.
Drive architectural decisions and prepare technical proposals across teams.
Own and evolve cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, dev environments, observability, and tooling.
Build automated, self-service developer infrastructure and reusable abstractions.
