Qualifications

• Extensive software engineering experience at Staff Engineer level or equivalent.
• Proven track record building production-grade LLM apps and AI agents.
• Strong leadership to influence architecture and engineering standards.
• Experience building AI evaluation frameworks with automated tests and monitoring.
• Understanding AI agent architecture and orchestration, with deterministic vs LLM tradeoffs.
• Backend/platform expertise with Python and Django, PostgreSQL, Redis, and REST/GraphQL.
• Design scalable AI infrastructure with clear interfaces and tenant isolation.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design, development, and delivery of major AI initiatives, including AI-powered assistants and generative AI features.
• Contribute to production AI systems from design to deployment, improving architecture and workflows.
• Improve AI quality, reliability, and performance with measurable enhancements.
• Own major AI projects from planning to deployment and optimization.
• Influence architectural decisions across teams, focusing on AI platform infrastructure.
• Establish scalable AI quality frameworks with automated evaluations and monitoring.
• Design reliable AI agents and tool integrations balancing deterministic logic and LLMs.
• Drive engineering efficiency through evaluation standards, code reviews, and docs.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and Ops to translate business needs into solutions.
• Mentor engineers and promote architectural standards and continuous improvement.
