Job summary

EatClub is seeking a Staff Engineer, Payments to own and shape the payments platform across Australia, the UK and New Zealand. You will lead the design of complex payment problems and work closely with product and tech leads, while staying hands-on in code and collaborating with banks, acquirers and card schemes.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years of software engineering experience.
• 4+ years building production payment systems at a fintech/payments company.
• Deep understanding of card payments and payment providers in the real world.
• Experience designing ledgers, settlement and reconciliation systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of the most complex payment problems and justify trade-offs.
• Write production code on consequential changes and review others’ code.
• Represent the squad in technical discussions with payment partners, banks, and card schemes.
• Contribute payments expertise to future strategy and roadmap.
