Job summary

EatClub is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Loyalty, to build the systems that reward customers for dining out and connect EatClub to loyalty programs customers already love. The role emphasizes ledger-grade accuracy for points, rewards, and partner balances across markets, including payments and fraud rules.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering with backend focus.
• Experience delivering production projects end-to-end.
• Experience designing REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Strong SQL and NoSQL, performance tuning.
• Experience with third-party integrations.
• Ability to debug production issues to root cause.
• Automated testing and testable code.
• Excellent communication with product/design teams.
• Familiarity with AI development tools and their proper use.

Responsibilities

• Designing and building the backend services behind loyalty features (earning, redemption, partner integrations).
• Ensuring every points balance and reward is traceable and reconciled across markets.
• Integrating with loyalty and payment partners for expected earning/redeeming flows.
• Maintaining reliability by investigating failures and reducing incidents.
• Partnering with product, design, and mobile engineers to ship end-to-end features.
• Reviewing code, ensuring quality with tests, and mentoring teammates.
