Job summary

QT Hotels & Resorts on the Gold Coast is seeking a Spa Therapist to deliver luxurious spa services within our on-site resort environment. You will welcome guests, tailor facial and body treatments, upsell retail products, and manage spa reservations with a calm, customer-focused approach.

Applicants should hold a Diploma in Beauty Therapy or Cert IV in Massage, with experience in a resort or hotel setting. Strong presentation and retail skills help drive guest satisfaction and revenue.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Beauty Therapy or Cert IV in Massage or both.
• Experience delivering facial and body treatments.
• Excellent time management and personalised treatments.
• Attention to detail and professional presentation.
• Calm under pressure with strong problem-solving skills.
• Retail sales experience and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver spa services in an efficient, friendly and professional manner according to Spa protocols.
• Welcome guests warmly, anticipate their needs and be a trusted contact for anything from bill issues to local knowledge.
• Know all services, products and costs so you can upsell and rebook guests and recommend retail items.
• Perform Spa Reception duties including reservations, cashiering, phone calls and general enquiries.
• Follow safety procedures and report all incidents and maintenance to the Spa Manager or Supervisor.
• Keep treatment rooms, change rooms, wet areas, reception and back of house areas clean and tidy, and assist colleagues and other departments as required.

What You’ll Bring:

• Diploma in Beauty Therapy and/or Cert IV in Massage and/or previous experience as a spa therapist within a resort or hotel environment
• Experience and confidence in delivering facial and body treatments
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to adapt and personalise treatments to guests’ concerns
• Excellent attention to detail and a professional standard of presentation
• A good understanding of spa culture and the health and well-being industry
• The ability to remain calm under pressure, with great problem solving skills
• Demonstrated customer service skills and a proven track record in retail sales
• Flexibility to assist in other areas of the hotel if the job requires
