Liverpool Catholic Club is opening Akari, an Asian Fusion dining concept, and seeks a skilled Sous Chef to help launch the kitchen. You will report to the Executive Chef and contribute to menu development, quality control, and a dynamic team environment.

The role involves hands-on leadership during service, ensuring food safety and high standards, with weekend and evening shifts required. Hospitality qualifications and a passion for exceptional dining experiences are essential.

Qualificações

• Experience as a Sous Chef in a busy kitchen.
• Experience with Asian, Asian Fusion or modern cuisine preferred.
• Strong leadership and clear communication under pressure.
• Solid knowledge of food safety, hygiene and kitchen SOPs.
• Organised, detail-oriented and able to manage a busy service.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations.
• Lead and motivate the team during service to maintain high standards.
• Ensure food quality and presentation meet club standards.
• Assist with menu development and daily specials.
• Manage stock levels and reduce wastage; monitor par levels.
• Train and mentor junior chefs and new hires.
• Foster a positive, professional kitchen culture.
• Stay current with industry trends and techniques.
