Job summary

EVT Limited’s Atura Oran Park is seeking a talented sous chef to lead the Japanese-inspired restaurant offering. You will bring passion for Japanese cuisine and hands-on leadership in a fast-paced kitchen in southwestern Sydney.

You will train and coach staff, maintain top hygiene, and craft memorable guest experiences. This role offers growth within EVT’s hotel and entertainment network.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Japanese restaurants as a senior chef is ideal.
• Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine and cooking techniques including tempura, Izakaya and robata.
• Thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy kitchen, keeping cool under pressure while delivering excellence.
• Experience training, developing and coaching staff.
• Obsessed with detail—from the perfect cut to flawless plating.
• Committed to top-tier hygiene and food safety, because quality starts behind the scenes.
• A natural team player, communicating clearly to keep the kitchen running like clockwork.
