Qualifications

• 5+ years in solution architecture across applications, cloud and integration with front/customer-facing emphasis.
• Active NV1 Security Clearance or eligible to obtain NV1 clearance.
• Minimum 10 years continuous Australian work history.
• Experience in Defence industry clients is strongly preferred.
• Proven track record designing and executing End-to-End technology roadmaps in large enterprises.
• TOGAF certification is preferred.
• Deep understanding of enterprise applications, APIs, integration frameworks, microservices, cloud platforms, and data flows.
• Experience in Agile and product-led delivery models.
• Strong communication to bridge business stakeholders and technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Drive design and governance of end-to-end solution architectures for complex defence delivery programs.
• Formulate and maintain high-level application technology roadmaps aligned with enterprise strategies.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and product owners to translate requirements into secure architecture blueprints.
• Evaluate existing platforms and design future-state models, including cloud migration strategies.
• Architect end-to-end patterns for cloud, APIs, integration, data flows, and security.
• Produce and manage architectural artefacts: solution designs, reference architectures, governance standards.
• Conduct platform evaluations to minimize technical debt and improve efficiency.
• Promote best practices, standards, and reusable design patterns across agile teams.

The position focuses on translating core business capabilities into scalable application, cloud, and integration architecture blueprints, modernizing legacy landscapes, and defining long-term technology roadmaps to fulfill overarching strategic goals.

Key Criteria

• Solution Architecture Experience: 5+ years of dedicated Solution Architecture experience across Application, Cloud, and Integration domains, with the majority of experience focused on front/customer-facing environments.
• Security Clearance: Active NV1 Security Clearance or demonstrated eligibility to obtain NV1 clearance.
• Work History: Minimum 10 years of continuous work experience with Australian companies (checkable Australian work history).
• Industry Experience: Prior experience within or supporting Defence industry clients is strongly preferred.
• Enterprise Strategy: Proven track record designing and executing End-to-End (E2E) Technology Roadmaps within large enterprise environments.
• Certifications: TOGAF certification is preferred.
• Technical Depth: Deep understanding of enterprise application landscapes, APIs, integration frameworks, microservices patterns, cloud platforms, and data flows.
• Delivery Methodology: Demonstrated background working in Agile and product-led delivery models.

• Produce and manage formal architectural artefacts, including solution design documents, reference architectures, and governance standards.

• Promote best practices, architectural standards, and reusable design patterns across agile delivery teams.
