Job summary

Summit + Shore in Canberra seeks a Solar Business Development Representative to educate customers on solar, batteries and EV charging, and design tailored energy solutions for homes in the ACT region.

You'll meet with customers, explain rebates, prepare proposals, and coordinate with our in-house teams to ensure a seamless experience from enquiry to post-install. Base salary with uncapped commissions powers clear career growth.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in residential solar sales or similar B2C sales.
• Ability to build trust quickly and close deals.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable car; willingness to travel within ACT.
• Self-motivation and resilience for a commission-based role.

What You'll Be Doing

• Empower customers:Meet with customers across Canberra and the surrounding region, understand their goals and educate them on how solar, batteries, home electrification and EV charging can reduce bills, provide energy security and shrink their carbon footprint.
• Be a super helpful resource for customers:Explain the current government rebate landscape and guide customers on how to optimise their solution and savings.
• Design tailored solutions:Prepare proposals and system designs that suit individual household energy profiles, explaining performance, finance and environmental benefits.
• Forge an ongoing relationship.Support customers from first enquiry through to post installation. Co-ordinate with our in-house specialist teams to ensure a seamless experience and follow up with periodic check-ins post installation.
• Represent our brand.Be an ambassador for Summit + Shore at community events and stay up to date on energy-industry developments.
• Comprehensive onboarding.We'll bring you up to speed on our products, sales tools, rebates and financing options, and give you access to the best training in the industry. You'll have the autonomy to do what you do best with the backing of a company that wants you to thrive.
• Warm leads only.We invest heavily in marketing and brand building, so you'll be meeting customers who have already asked for advice. No cold calls, just genuine conversations with people who want to change the way they power their homes.

You'll need

• A proven track record in residential solar sales or similar B2C sales success, with the ability to build trust quickly and close deals.
• A passion for sustainability and the ability to translate technical concepts into simple, compelling stories.
• A valid driver's licence and reliable car, and the flexibility to travel within the ACT and surrounding regions.
• Self-motivation, resilience and a desire to excel in a commission-oriented role.
