Job summary

Qantas Airways is seeking a Mobile Back-End Developer to lead architecture, delivery and the development of scalable backend services powering our digital experiences. You will guide the design and implementation of robust APIs and cloud-based solutions, mentoring junior developers and collaborating with technical and non-technical partners.

This role requires a hands-on, quality-focused engineer with a strong sense of accountability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a hands-on Software Engineering role.
• Experience in designing and building backend APIs.
• Proven technology experience with Kotlin, Java, Spring Boot, AWS, Git, CI/CD.
• A real passion for quality, clean code and continuous improvement.
• A strong understanding of architectural concepts and cloud-based solution design.
• Mentoring junior developers and collaborating with partners.
• Experience working with technical and non-technical partners.
• Test and learn mindset with curiosity, collaboration and care.

As a MobileBack-End Developer,you’llbe responsible forguiding and leading the architecture, delivery and development of the software systems that power our business unit.Ahands-on, highly skilled software developer with the experience todive into codeto deliver high quality, well-designed software.You willshareresponsibilityfor the quality of the software being built, including but not limitedto;achieving desired business outcomes, meeting reliability and performance expectations and safely managing security and data privacy concerns.
