Whizdom in Sydney is seeking a Snowflake Engineer to join a major data platform initiative, delivering secure, scalable Snowflake and Azure-based data solutions.

You will design integrations, build pipelines with Snowflake and Azure, implement RBAC and data classification controls, and collaborate with architects, security teams, and analysts to meet governance standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in Data Engineering or Cloud Data Platform roles.
• Hands-on Snowflake design, query optimisation, and security/access control.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure data services (Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Blob Storage).
• Understanding RBAC and data classification frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement integrations between Snowflake and Azure data platforms.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines using Snowflake and Azure-native services.
• Contribute to detailed data platform architecture and solution design.
• Ensure alignment with security standards, performance, and governance.
• Implement RBAC and access policies within Snowflake.
• Collaborate with security, governance, analysts, and stakeholders.
• Optimize Snowflake environments for performance and cost efficiency.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation and procedures.
