Job summary

Bluefin Resources Pty seeks a hands-on Data Platform Engineer in Sydney to uplift data engineering capabilities, focusing on ingestion, transformation, and delivery of enterprise data in a modern cloud environment.

You will design end-to-end pipelines with Snowflake, SQL and Python, implement CI/CD, and collaborate with engineering, architecture and analytics teams to raise quality and consistency across systems.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on Data Engineering experience within modern cloud data environments.
• Commercial Snowflake experience is a must.
• Advanced SQL skills and practical Python development experience.
• Experience developing engineering standards, reusable frameworks or common design patterns.
• Hands-on experience implementing CI/CD and automated deployment processes.

An established Australian organisation is looking for a hands‑on Data Platform Engineer to support a significant uplift of its data engineering capabilities.
The opportunity centres on improving how enterprise data is ingested, transformed, modelled and delivered for downstream consumption. You'll be involved in developing new pipelines, improving existing processes and introducing more consistent engineering practices across a modern cloud data environment.

About the Role

• Medallion architecture or similar layered data design approaches

• Exposure to automated monitoring, observability and modern development practices
