Job summary

Clough, part of a JV with Saipem and aligned with Webuild, seeks a SMP Construction Engineer for its WA urea project. You will oversee structural, mechanical and piping construction works and support engineering queries, reporting to the Construction Manager.

The role features a 19:9 site rotation and is based in Western Australia. You will ensure works align with IFC drawings, manage subcontractor performance, conduct site walks, review drawings, raise RFIs and coordinate with engineering for

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or civil/structural engineering is mandatory.
• 5+ years’ experience in EPC lump-sum and construction environments.
• Experience in oil & gas or ammonia projects highly regarded.
• Excellent project management and organisational skills.
• Ability to work a 19:9 rotation to site (FIFO).

Responsibilities

• Ensure works are executed per IFC drawings, specs and procedures.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and productivity.
• Conduct daily site walks and toolbox meetings.
• Review GA and structural steel drawings, isometrics and piping drawings, equipment installation drawings.
• Raise RFIs and coordinate design clarifications and field changes.
• Support SMP construction schedules and identify risks.
• Witness inspections and testing and ensure as-built documentation.
