Job summary

Clough Ltd. in Western Australia is recruiting an SMP Construction Engineer to oversee structural, mechanical, and piping construction for the CERES urea plant.

Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will manage field queries and ensure works align with IFC drawings and approved procedures. The role requires a 19:9 FIFO rotation, strong project management and coordination, and compliance with Australian standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or civil/structural engineering is required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in EPC lump-sum and construction environments.
• Experience in oil & gas or ammonia projects is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Ensure works are executed in accordance with IFC drawings, specs and procedures.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and productivity.
• Conduct daily site walks and toolbox talks.
• Review GA, structural steel, isometric and piping drawings, and equipment installation drawings.
• Raise RFIs when required and coordinate with engineering for clarifications.
• Support SMP construction schedules and identify risks.
• Witness inspections and testing and ensure as-built documentation.
• Ensure compliance with Australian standards.
