Job summary

Think Water Central Coast is seeking a skilled Small Engine Mechanic to join our workshop. You will troubleshoot, diagnose, service and repair outdoor power equipment from brands like Stihl and Honda, with emphasis on quality workmanship and safety.

Work includes scheduling jobs in the workshop and on site, keeping detailed records, and providing technical advice to support sales. Training and career development opportunities are offered within a national market leader.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Small Engine Mechanic or in a similar role.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Excellent customer service orientation and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
• Performing routine services and repairs on a range of outdoor power equipment.
• Testing repaired equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Providing excellent customer service and advising customers on preventative maintenance.
• Scheduling of jobs both in the workshop and on site.
• Keeping accurate records of work completed and parts used on jobs.
• Ensuring the workshop is well-organised and equipment is properly stored and maintained.
• Provide technical advice and back up sales support to the in-store sales team.
