Job summary

ATCO Structures & Logistics is hiring a Site Supervisor for a major workforce accommodation project at Weipa Mine. FIFO 2:1 from Cairns. You will supervise trades and subcontractors, coordinate daily site activities and ensure safety, schedule and quality on a large modular village installation.

Ideal candidates have mining/construction supervision, FIFO experience and strong safety leadership. Essential QBCC Supervisor Licence, White Card and Australian Driver's Licence; Certificate IV in

Qualifications

• Experience supervising on mining, commercial, industrial or modular construction projects.
• Demonstrated FIFO experience in remote site environments.
• Able to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and technical docs.
• Strong planning, organisational and problem‑solving skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality and compliance, with lead‑by‑example.

• Supervise and coordinate trades and subcontractors across all site activities.
• Ensure works are completed safely, on schedule and to specification.
• Coordinate labour, materials, plant and site logistics to maintain productivity.
• Monitor progress against project milestones and construction schedules.
• Manage permits, SWMS, risk assessments and HSEQ compliance.
• Identify and resolve site issues while maintaining quality workmanship.
• Liaise with the Project Manager, subcontractors and stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate site records, reports and project documentation.

We are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to join our Projects team on a major workforce accommodation project at Weipa Mine.

Working a FIFO 2:1 roster from Cairns, you'll supervise trades and subcontractors during the construction and installation of a large modular accommodation village. Reporting to the Project Manager, you'll coordinate daily site activities and ensure works are delivered safely, on schedule and to a high standard.

This role is suited to a hands‑on construction professional who enjoys leading site teams, coordinating multiple trades and delivering successful project outcomes in a remote FIFO environment.

What You'll Be Doing

What You'll Bring

• Previous Site Supervisor experience on mining, commercial, industrial, infrastructure or modular construction projects.
• Demonstrated FIFO experience within remote site environments.
• Proven experience leading and coordinating multiple trades and subcontractors.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, site operations and installation processes.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality and compliance, with the ability to lead by example.
• Current QBCC Supervisor Licence, White Card and Australian Driver's Licence are essential.
• Certificate IV in Building & Construction is highly regarded.
