Job summary

AWCON is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor for Civil Construction on a FIFO basis in Australia. You will report to the Project Manager, lead crews and subcontractors, and ensure safety, quality and timely delivery of works on underground mine sites.

Key requirements include proven supervision experience in civil/mining construction, ability to manage cost-plus and fixed-price contracts, and a hands-on leadership style. A current driver's licence and First Aid Certificate are essential.

Site Supervisor – Civil Construction | FIFO

About the Role

Reporting to the Project Manager, you’ll lead crews and subcontractors to deliver project outcomes safely and to quality, programme and production targets. We’re after strong frontline leaders who build positive team cultures while holding high safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate crews and subcontractors across daily site activities
• Champion a safety-first culture and make sure safe work practices are followed on site
• Plan and coordinate works to meet programme and production targets
• Complete accurate daily reporting and site documentation
• Support quality assurance, compliance and workforce performance
• Work with the project team to identify and resolve issues on site

About You

• Proven supervisor experience in civil or mining construction
• Experience delivering construction projects on underground mine sites
• Understanding of both cost-plus and fixed-price contract arrangements
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with a hands‑on, practical approach
• Current driver’s licence and First Aid Certificate
• Qualifications in leadership, management or a relevant trade are desirable but not essential
