Stunning Homes in Australia is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to manage daily site activities from start to finish and oversee handover readiness. You will coordinate trades, inspect workmanship, and ensure work aligns with approved plans, standards, and WHS requirements.

You will monitor inspections, manage costs, maintain records, and lead pre-handover activities to deliver a high-quality home on time.

Qualifications

  • Years of experience as a site supervisor.
  • Experience in the construction industry.
  • Construction safety knowledge and OH&S/WHS understanding.
  • Experience on residential construction projects.

Job description

Manage daily site activities from commencement through to completion and handover. Keep the site organised, clean and accessible. Follow and maintain the construction schedule. Coordinate trades to ensure work is completed in the correct sequence and avoid delays.

Key responsibilities

Book, coordinate and supervise subcontractors and trades including earthworks, concreting, framing, roofing, plumbing, electrical, plastering, tiling, painting, flooring, landscaping and final works

Inspect workmanship at every stage. Ensure construction complies with approved plans, specifications, building standards and company quality requirements. Identify defects early and arrange rectification

Ensure trades are working from the latest approved plans, engineering drawings, selections and specifications. Review drawings before construction and raise any discrepancies

Coordinate required inspections, engineering inspections, council requirements and certification throughout construction. Ensure work is ready before inspections are booked

Maintain a safe workplace and ensure subcontractors comply with WHS requirements, site safety procedures, SWMS and relevant legislation. Report hazards, incidents and unsafe practices

Check that materials are delivered on time and are correct, undamaged and suitable for the job. Coordinate deliveries and storage to prevent damage or delays

Identify additional works, discrepancies or client-requested changes. Notify the office before proceeding where approval or pricing is required

Monitor rework, wastage, additional labour and variations to help control construction costs. Ensure subcontractors complete work in accordance with their agreed scope

Maintain accurate site records, photos, inspection records, delivery information, trade attendance, defects and construction progress

Conduct pre-handover inspections, coordinate final cleaning and rectification, ensure all outstanding works are completed and prepare the home for final handover

About you

Monitor subcontractor performance, workmanship, attendance and adherence to construction schedules

Maintain professional communication with homeowners, manage site meetings and ensure clients receive a quality finished home

Identify construction issues early and work with relevant trades, suppliers, engineers and management to resolve them efficiently

Ensure the property, materials, fixtures and completed works are protected from theft, damage and weather
