Job summary

Westcon Site Management is seeking a hands-on site supervisor to lead day-to-day construction activities in Queensland. You will coordinate trades, manage subcontractors and material deliveries, and ensure work progresses safely, efficiently and in alignment with the program, drawings and quality standards.

Reporting to the Project Manager and Construction Manager, you will supervise direct labour, monitor WHS compliance, and maintain on-site records and reports while driving timely completion

Qualifications

• Must have minimum 5 years in commercial construction.
• Trade certificate and Site Supervisor Licence required.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate trades and maintain timelines.
• High standard of safety and quality.

You will work closely with the Project Manager, Contracts Administrator and Construction Manager to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, to a high standard and in accordance with the construction program.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers and material deliveries to meet construction programs.
• Manage day-to-day site activities and effectively coordinate trades.
• Work closely with the Project Manager, Construction Manager, WHS Manager and subcontractors.
• Supervise direct labour and provide hands-on leadership on site.

About you

• Minimum 5 years' experience in commercial construction, preferably in a Foreman or supervisory role.
• Relevant Trade Certificate and Site Supervisor Licence.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Effective negotiation, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• The ability to effectively coordinate trades and maintain project timeframes.
• High-level computer proficiency and the ability to quickly learn new systems.
• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety and quality outcomes.
