Job summary

Lead Group in Sydney seeks a Site Manager to oversee multiple commercial HVAC fit-out projects across Sydney. You will manage on-site delivery, coordinate subcontractors and trades, and keep projects on programme.

Ideal candidates come from Leading Hand, HVAC Installer, Site Supervisor, or Site Manager roles, with hands-on experience and a track record of delivering on time and to spec. Strong communication and organisation are essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee 5–6 commercial HVAC fit-out projects at once.

• Organise additional subcontractors and labour as required.
• Provide updates to the Project Manager on progress, labour, and site needs.
• Remain hands-on during quieter periods to assist with installations.

Job description

A well-established mechanical services contractor is looking for a Site Manager to join their Sydney team, overseeing multiple commercial HVAC fit-out projects across Sydney.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Leading Hand, Lead Installer or Site Supervisor looking to step into a Site Manager position, as well as experienced Site Managers wanting to join a growing contractor with a strong project pipeline.

The Role

• Oversee 5–6 commercial fit-out projects at any one time, typically ranging from $50k to $500k
• Manage the day-to-day delivery of HVAC installation works across sites throughout Sydney
• Coordinate and liaise with subcontractors and other trades to keep projects running to programme
• Organise additional subcontractors and labour where required
• Work closely with the Project Manager, providing regular updates on progress, labour and site requirements
• Remain hands-on where needed, assisting with installation works during quieter periods.
• Background as a Leading Hand, HVAC Installer, Site Supervisor or Site Manager
• Experience across systems including: Ductwork and ventilation, VRF / VRV system, Mechanical pipework, Water-cooled package unit, General mechanical services
• Comfortable managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple sites
• Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of site delivery
