Job summary

Westcon Site Management is seeking an experienced Foreman to lead day-to-day construction activities on site in Queensland. You will coordinate subcontractors, manage trades and ensure the project is delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard in line with the program.

You will work closely with the Project Manager and Construction Manager, supervise labour, monitor WHS, and contribute to planning, sequencing and reporting. A strong leadership and communication capability is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in commercial construction.
• Trade Certificate and Site Supervisor Licence are required.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal communications are essential.
• Ability to coordinate trades and maintain project timeframes.
• Commitment to WHS and quality outcomes.

• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers and material deliveries to meet construction programs.

You will work closely with the Project Manager, Contracts Administrator and Construction Manager to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, to a high standard and in accordance with the construction program.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers and material deliveries to meet construction programs.

About you

• Minimum 5 years' experience in commercial construction, preferably in a Foreman or supervisory role.
• Relevant Trade Certificate and Site Supervisor Licence.

• Effective negotiation, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• The ability to effectively coordinate trades and maintain project timeframes.
• High-level computer proficiency and the ability to quickly learn new systems.
• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety and quality outcomes.
