Senior Contracts Administrator - Construction Projects

Job summary

Westcon site management is seeking a commercial-focused Contract Administrator to support our project teams on residential, commercial and social housing developments in Queensland, including the Sunshine Coast.

You will work alongside the Construction Manager and Site Managers, handling procurement, subcontracts, variations, claims and cost control to keep programs on track throughout the full project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Construction Management or similar.
• 3+ years' construction contract administration experience.
• Experience with variations, progress claims and subcontractor payments.
• Strong contractual and commercial awareness.
• Proficiency in MS Office; MS Project or similar scheduling software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management capability.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full contract administration process from award through to completion.
• Manage variations, claims and extensions of time.
• Prepare and assess progress claims and payment schedules.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, tendering and negotiations.
• Liaise with site management, project managers and subcontractors to keep programs on track.
• Monitor contractual notices and critical timeframes.
• Support monthly cost reporting and forecasting.
• Maintain accurate and defensible contractual records.
• Identify commercial risks and escalating them early.
• Assist with final accounts and project close-out.
